Fortnite Challenge Guide: How to Ignite Enemy Players or Structures

The latest set of Fortnite challenges for Season 7, Week 8 has arrived. Most of these challenges shouldn’t give you too much trouble, as long as you know what to do. However, one challenge in particular might pose a bit of a challenge: igniting enemy players or enemy player structures. This challenge is more situational and requires a bit of luck and skill.

But don’t worry! We’ve got all the tips you need to make this challenge as easy as possible. Here’s how you can ignite enemy players or enemy player structures in Fortnite.

Items Required to Ignite Players or Structures

There are several ways to complete this challenge, but regardless of the method you choose, you’ll need at least one item. Some players prefer using gas canisters, while others shoot the tanks at gas stations. However, the simplest and easiest way to complete this challenge is to utilize fireflies, which can be found around the map. The best spot to find them is around Weeping Woods, as fireflies tend to gather in areas with trees. Explore this location, and you’re bound to encounter several fireflies. Collect as many as you’re comfortable with (you can hold up to six in one slot).

Once you have your firefly jar, there are a couple of methods you can use to complete this challenge. The simplest approach is to throw the firefly directly at an enemy player. If you manage to hit them, they will immediately ignite, and you will receive credit towards completing the challenge. However, this is easier said than done.

To complete this objective, you need to ignite a total of 15 players and/or structures. Alternatively, you can throw the firefly ahead of the player, hoping they will run into it. This method is a bit more practical but unpredictable since the player’s movements can be erratic.

The easiest method is to ignite structures. The more you explore, the higher your chances of finding enemy structures. Towards the end of a match, players often rely heavily on building structures, providing you with plenty of opportunities to complete this challenge. If you play in Team Rumble, the later stages of a match usually involve players creating massive structures that you can easily burn down. So save those fireflies for the end!

You can also mix and match for this challenge. For example, you don’t need to ignite only 15 players or only 15 structures. You can ignite seven players and eight structures to make a total of 15 and still complete the challenge.
