Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 Guide: Completing Week 4 Quests

The latest Fortnite challenges are now available for Chapter 3, Season 4, week 4. Some of the new quests are quite tricky or rely on luck, so completing this week’s list may be more challenging than usual. But don’t worry, we’re here to help! In this article, we’ll provide you with all the tips and tricks you need to breeze through this week’s challenges.

Season 4, Week 4 Quests

  • Deal damage to wildlife (1,000)
  • Eliminate a bounty target with a Sniper Rifle or Marksman Rifle (1)
  • Headshot opponents with the EvoChrome Shotgun or EvoChrome Burst Rifle (15)
  • Open a lock with a key, and a safe in a single match (2)
  • Survive storm phases (10)
  • Throw a launch pad at Flutter Barn or Shimmering Shrine (1)
  • Use a Port-A-Bunker in different matches (2)

Deal damage to wildlife (1,000)

This quest is quite straightforward, but it may take some time since you need to deal 1,000 damage to wildlife. Animals can be found all over the map, especially in between main hubs. Look out for wolves, chickens, and boars as you play. You can also eliminate the wolves that spawn from The Herald at Herald’s Sanctum. This is the easiest method as they keep respawning. Regardless, you’ll likely make progress towards this quest naturally as you play. Just prioritize taking down wildlife to complete it quickly.

Eliminate a bounty target with a Sniper Rifle or Marksman Rifle (1)

For this quest, we recommend using the new Cobra DMR, which performs well from long distances. Head to a major hub like Tilted Towers or Rocky Reels and initiate a bounty by interacting with a nearby bounty board. Remember, you need to secure the final blow with a Sniper Rifle or Marksman Rifle, but you can use other weapons to damage the opponent beforehand. If you’re having trouble, playing in a team-based mode can be helpful, as you can down the opponent first before switching to a Sniper Rifle or Marksman Rifle to finish them off.

Headshot opponents with the EvoChrome Shotgun or EvoChrome Burst Rifle (15)

The wording of this challenge can be a bit misleading. You don’t need to headshot 15 different opponents with the EvoChrome Shotgun or EvoChrome Burst Rifle — you simply need to secure 15 headshots with these weapons. This means you can headshot the same enemy multiple times to earn credit. You can also complete this quest by targeting NPCs, which makes it much easier. We recommend facing off against The Herald at Herald’s Sanctum since they tend to stand still, making it easier to secure headshots.

Open a lock with a key, and a safe in a single match (2)

This quest is another one with confusing wording. You need to open a lock with a key and also open a safe within the same match. It’s best to prioritize finding keys first, as they are rarer than safes (although if you stumble upon a safe first, don’t hesitate to open it). Keys can be found as floor loot or in chests, so we recommend landing in high-traffic areas like Tilted Towers, where there is plenty of loot. Once you find a key, check the map for vault locations, which are indicated by locks.

Depending on when you find a key and how far you are from the nearest vault, this quest may prove challenging. It’s recommended to land near a vault so that if you do find a key, you’re close enough to visit before the storm closes in. Keep in mind that there are vaults that require two keys, which yield better rewards, along with safes. So if you happen to find two keys, you’ll be in good shape after visiting a vault with multiple locks.

Overall, this quest is luck-based and may prove tricky to complete.

Survive storm phases (10)

This quest is simple. Just by playing naturally, you’ll likely survive at least a couple of storm circles, even if you’re not the best player. If you’re concerned about your skill level, playing with a team and sticking to buildings away from enemies can increase your chances of survival.

Throw a launch pad at Flutter Barn or Shimmering Shrine (1)

While playing, keep an eye out for a launch pad, which can be found as floor loot or in chests. We suggest landing near Flutter Barn or Shimmering Shrine so that you’re close by if you happen to find a launch pad. Once you have one in your possession, head to either of the aforementioned areas and place the launch pad on the ground to complete this quest.

Use a Port-A-Bunker in different matches (2)

This quest is relatively straightforward. Keep an eye out for a Port-A-Bunker as you play. Remember that these items can be found as floor loot, in chests, or dropped by eliminated opponents. You need to use one Port-A-Bunker in separate matches, so keep that in mind as you play.
