Fortnite Season 4 Map Guide: Exploring the Marvel Universe

Fortnite Season 4 has arrived, bringing with it an exciting new storyline featuring Marvel characters and their battle against Galactus in the Nexus War. Alongside the fresh content, there are some notable changes to the map, although not as drastic as the previous season’s flood. Let’s take a look at what you can expect while exploring Fortnite during Season 4.

Spawn Island Replaced with a Helicarrier

The first noticeable change is the replacement of Spawn Island with a massive helicarrier. While waiting for the battle to begin, players can now explore this new addition and marvel at the adjustments made to the Battle Bus. Look out for the appearance of jets as you parachute into action. It’s a fun way to start the game and discover new locations.

Pleasant Park Transformed into Doom’s Domain

The most significant change to the map is the addition of Doom’s Domain, where Dr. Doom has taken control of Pleasant Park. Henchmen patrol the area, and if you venture deep enough, you’ll find Dr. Doom himself. Keep an eye out for him in his mansion or other parts of his base, especially near his vault. Doom’s Domain is complete with a statue, an underground base, and henchmen’s chests. It’s quickly becoming a popular drop spot for players. While challenging, defeating Dr. Doom is a rewarding adventure best taken on with friends.

Sentinel Graveyard near Lazy Lake

Easy to spot from above, the Sentinel Graveyard is home to inactive Sentinels. Located on a hilltop near Lazy Lake, it overlooks the Weeping Woods. When dropping in, look for the huge purple robots in the middle of the map – you can’t miss them. Although the area mainly offers chests and encounters with other players, if you find yourself in trouble, jump onto a Sentinel’s hand, and its energy beacon will launch you into the sky for a quick getaway. To enjoy the best view of the Sentinel Graveyard, we recommend checking it out from a helicopter.

Downed Quinjets

During each match, you’ll come across downed Quinjets in random locations. These areas are filled with drones, henchmen, and valuable loot. However, due to the high interest from other players, it’s advisable to approach these locations after acquiring decent weapons. Explore the inside of a Quinjet to open a chest that might contain the newly introduced Stark Industries Energy Rifle.

Other Minor Map Changes in Season 4

Beyond the major changes mentioned, Season 4 has introduced a few smaller adjustments to the map, including:

  • The sea wall has been removed from The Authority, making it more accessible and devoid of NPCs.
  • Catty Corner has been abandoned, possibly due to the destructive vortex that frightened away its residents.
  • The Fortilla has been partially destroyed.
  • Rickety Rig has been completely removed from the map.
  • Bifrost markings can be found scattered across the island.
  • Thor’s hammer is missing from its crater.

Expect More Changes in the Future

As with previous seasons, we anticipate further map alterations throughout Season 4. The clash between Galactus and Marvel’s heroes will likely reshape the entire landscape. Fortnite has a penchant for destruction and rebuilding, and we’re excited to see what surprises are in store for us in the coming weeks.
