How to Acquire the Fierce Deity Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

One of the most enjoyable aspects of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is discovering and donning various outfits inspired by Link’s previous incarnations. While the game does introduce plenty of exciting new outfits, there are also times when you long to experience a touch of nostalgia.

For fans of Majora’s Mask, the coveted item is, of course, the titular mask. However, the Fierce Deity set holds an even higher level of desirability. In the original game, acquiring this set was no easy feat. It necessitated trading in each and every other mask before facing the final boss, transforming Link into a formidable warrior. While obtaining it may not be quite as challenging as it once was, you’ll still require some assistance in locating each piece of the Fierce Deity set in Tears of the Kingdom. Here’s where you can find every part you need:

How to Obtain the Fierce Deity Set

This particular armor set is linked to a sidequest involving treasure hunters named Domidak and Prissen, whom you may have encountered during another sidequest. You can find them near the cliff close to Cephla Lake Cave.

Step 1:

Approach the pair and listen as they share information about several chests. However, you’ll discover that they are unable to find the one containing any meaningful treasure.

Step 2:

To aid you in locating the correct chest, feed their dog, and let him guide you.

Step 3:

The Ember Trousers, the first part of the outfit, will be your reward.

Step 4:

This step triggers the “Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity” quest.

Step 5:

Head to the Akkala Citadel Ruins Summit Cave to find the next armor piece.

Step 6:

Look for the room on the southwest side of the central building, which you can access by crouching under a hole.

Step 7:

Descend into the cave and claim the armor.

Step 8:

For the mask, warp to the Sitsum Shrine instead of traveling directly to Skull Lake, located north of Death Mountain.

Step 9:

From the vantage point at the shrine, leap and glide over the cave, allowing yourself to fall inside.

Step 10:

Beware of the Stalkoblins and Stalnox within the cave as you claim your Fierce Deity Mask.

Step 11:

The final item, the boots, can be found at the Ancient Tree Stump.

Step 12:

Follow the root that extends over the water to reach a wall of vines that can be cut through.

Step 13:

Continue along the path, scaling some walls, until you encounter another wall that requires cutting in order to access your last chest.

If you return to Domidak and Prissen while wearing the complete set and enter the cave with the fake chests once more, a new door will open, presenting you with a final prize: the Fierce Deity Sword. Equipping it will mark the full completion of your set.
