The Treasure Lost, Treasure Found quest in Genshin Impact can be quite challenging. While the steps of the quest are straightforward, the locations you need to visit are not marked on your map, which is different from most other quests in the game. To assist you in reaching the end of the quest, here’s a guide on how to solve the Treasure Lost, Treasure Found quest in Genshin Impact.
For your efforts, you will receive a plethora of powerful equipment, as well as a significant boost to your Adventure rank and a shrine key. Although there is no level requirement for the quest, it is advisable to have your main character at least level 19. The enemies you will confront during the quest will range from level 18 to level 21.
Finding the Quest
To initiate the Treasure Lost, Treasure Found quest, you must first speak with Soraya in the Domain of Forsaken Ruins. This specific domain is situated in the Guili Plains, and the entire quest is centered around this location. Soraya is not indicated on the map, so refer to the map below to locate her. Alternatively, you can find her near the entrance of the Domain of Forsaken Ruins.
Step 1: Locate the Five Stone Tablets
After speaking with Soraya, she will inform you that there are five stone tablets scattered around the Domain of Forsaken Ruins. These tablets are not marked on your map, but they are all relatively close to Soraya, making them fairly easy to find. To get started, we have marked the approximate locations on the map screenshot provided.
Some of the tablets may have a few enemies nearby (around level 19), so ensure that you are adequately prepared to deal with them. If you have made it to the quest giver without encountering any issues, you should be well-equipped.
Once you have found all five stone tablets, return to Soraya. She will translate the tablets you have discovered, but your task is not yet complete. Two additional stone tablets will appear, and you must find them. Fortunately, these tablets are marked on your map. Head to the designated markers, defeat any enemies in the vicinity, and interact with the tablets to progress the quest. Your efforts will be rewarded with a couple of Precious Chests.
Finally, return to Soraya, and she will decipher the two additional stone tablets. You will learn that there is hidden treasure, but you require a few more components to locate it. After speaking with her, Soraya will teleport to the Wangshu Inn. Find her at the inn to begin the next step.
Step 2: Discover the Four Jade Plates
Upon reaching the treetop inn and conversing with Soraya, she will inform you about additional clues hidden in the area, leading you to a “strange plate” she discovered previously. This refers to one of the four jade plates that you must find. These plates are located near activated ruins. Soraya will mark the first plate on your map, but you will be on your own to uncover the remaining ones. To make matters more challenging, the jade plates are more widely spaced than the stone tablets.
You will find the plates scattered throughout the Guili Plains, and you can refer to the map above to see their approximate locations. There are small markers on the map that indicate the whereabouts of the jade plates, but you cannot track them, and they are not easily distinguishable from the surrounding terrain.
Before setting off, be sure to activate the teleport portal near Soraya, as you will need to return to her after discovering the plates. Venture to the markers, activate the ruins, and be prepared to face any enemies along the way. Once done, fast travel back to Soraya to progress the quest.
After speaking with Soraya, she will once again mention that the plates are perplexing and suggest investigating the final ruin. Soraya will remain at the Wangshu Inn while you embark on the final leg of the quest.
Step 3: Locate the Final Ruin
The final ruin is not marked on your map, so refer to the provided screenshot to navigate to its location. At the final ruin, you will come across a clue mechanism that must be activated to advance the quest. Activating the mechanism will trigger the appearance of three Ruin Guards in the vicinity. If you have not faced them before, be aware that they can be quite formidable.
Ruin Guards have a 10% resistance to elemental attacks and a substantial 70% resistance to physical attacks. They are also capable of executing powerful leaping assaults that can quickly incapacitate you. Utilize Amber’s arrows to target the glowing core (the “head” of the Ruin Guards), as this is their weak point. After successfully hitting the core twice, the Ruin Guard will temporarily deactivate, allowing you to unleash as much damage as possible.
Once you have dealt with the Ruin Guards, activate the nearby clue mechanism once again. This will cause the water in the central pool of the area to drain. Jump down into the pool to claim your rewards: a Luxurious Chest and two Precious Chests.
But your journey is not over yet. Fast travel back to Soraya and inform her that you have found the treasure. After a brief dialogue, she will reward you with 50 Primogems, 400 Adventure rank experience, and a Liyue Shrine of Depths key, enabling you to unlock one of the shrines in Liyue.
