How to Find Rococo the Niffler in Hogwarts Legacy

In the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy, your custom witch or wizard will encounter numerous characters, each with their own unique sidequests. One particularly challenging quest is “Rescuing Rococo,” where you must find a lost Niffler named Rococo. While the objective may seem simple enough, this quest is filled with tricky puzzles that can trip you up. To ensure the safe return of this adorable creature, here’s a guide on how to find Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy.

Completing the Rescuing Rococo Quest

Before embarking on the “Rescuing Rococo” quest, there are a few requirements you must meet. First, you need to complete the “The High Keep” quest and unlock your Hippogriff mount. Once you’ve achieved these milestones, head to Bainburgh and speak to a merchant named Agnes Coffey to trigger the quest.

The first step of the quest will take you to Henrnietta’s Hideaway, located in the southern part of Bainburgh known as Manor Cape. Upon arrival, you will encounter a small group of Ashwinders that you must defeat. Engage them using whatever means necessary before entering the underground section through the staircase beside the Merlin Trial.

Solving the First Block Puzzle

Once inside Henrietta’s Hideaway, you’ll come across a room with a block puzzle that needs to be solved. This puzzle is similar to others you may have encountered, requiring you to place the correct blocks on different platforms and cast the appropriate spells on them.

One cube is easily visible and has an ice symbol on it. Move it to the platform with the icicle icon and cast the Glacius spell to activate it.

The second cube is more hidden. To reveal it, use a fire spell to light a small bowl located in front of a statue on the left side of the room. Once lit, you can move the block to the platform with the flame icon and cast either Confringo or Incendio on it. With both blocks activated, the doors will open.

Passing the Shifting Floor Trap

In the next room, you’ll encounter more enemies, but the main challenge lies in a trap on the second floor that teleports you away if you try to cross it. Use the Revelio spell to highlight the booby-trapped section of the floor and cast Arresto Momentum to make it safe to cross.

Solving the Second Block Puzzle

The final room contains another block puzzle to solve. This time, both cubes are hidden, but the solution remains the same as before.

The first block is located on a ledge to the left side of the room. Use Accio to target it and move it onto the platform with the feather icon. To activate the cube, cast Levioso on it.

To find the second cube, go through the doorway on the right side of the room and step on a pedestal that will teleport you to a new room containing the block. Use Wingardium Leviosa to pick it up and then head up the staircase, bringing you back to the main chamber. Place the block on the fire platform, cast Confringo or Incendio on it, and the final door will open.

Grab all the loot, and don’t forget to use your Nab-Sack on Rococo before exiting the dungeon. When you return to Agnes, you’ll have several options. You can fulfill your promise and return Rococo, ask for a reward in exchange for the Niffler, or choose to keep it for yourself. Regardless of your decision, the quest will conclude, rewarding you with XP and the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat gear item.
