Competitive gun battles, skilled building battles, and regular updates have made Fortnite one of the most popular battle royale games. It has evolved from just another shooter to a virtual world where friends hang out, watch live events, and enjoy Party Royale concerts together. Fortnite fashion has become essential for many players who want to flaunt the latest seasonal skins and cosmetic items instead of relying on default or outdated gear. However, not everyone can afford the V-Bucks required to stay trendy.
Sending Gifts in Fortnite
Sending gifts in Fortnite is a fantastic way to show appreciation, celebrate birthdays or holidays, and make the game more social. Luckily, it’s relatively easy if you know how to do it.
Step 1: To send a gift, head to the item shop where Epic Games rotates different cosmetic items daily. Choose an item and ensure you have enough V-Bucks. If not, you’ll need to add more to your account using real money.
Step 2: When purchasing the item, select the “Buy as a Gift” option to send it to someone else. Make sure to enable two-factor authentication before sending a gift.
Step 3: Choose the friend you want to send the gift to from your friends list, select a wrapping paper design for the gift box, and hit “Send.” Your friend will receive a notification to unlock the present when they log into Fortnite.

Although gifting becomes simpler as you build your community and accumulate V-Bucks, Epic Games has implemented some important restrictions to prevent hacking and money laundering. Here are the rules you should know:
Step 1: Activate two-factor authentication (2FA). Fortnite requires 2FA before allowing you to proceed with gifting. Click the “Enable 2FA Now” button, which will take you to your account settings. There, you can download the Authenticator app for security codes or set up phone number or email authentication.
Step 2: Reach level 2. You can’t create a Fortnite account solely for gifting. Play a few games to reach level 2.
Step 3: Become friends with the recipient. Before gifting an item, send a friend request and wait for acceptance. After a waiting period of two or three days, you’ll be able to send gifts. This prevents unauthorized access to your account.
Step 4: Limit of five gifts per day. Unfortunately, you can’t send an unlimited number of gifts, even if you’re wearing the Santa Claus skin.
Step 5: Gifting not available for iOS users. While you can still play Fortnite on iOS or iPadOS devices, gifting is restricted to PC, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch players.
Step 6: Only freshly purchased locker items can be gifted. You cannot gift items already in your own personal locker.
Step 7: Gifts are non-refundable. Once you send a gift, the V-Bucks will be deducted from your account, and the transaction cannot be canceled.
Step 8: The battle pass can be gifted only with “real” money. Unlike other items, the battle pass can only be purchased within the battle pass menu. You can select the gifting option for 950 V-Bucks, but you cannot use your existing balance. You’ll need to make a separate payment of $9.50.
Step 9: Gifting feature availability. Epic Games occasionally disables the gifting feature for extended periods. If you don’t see the gift option, it means gifting is currently unavailable, and your only option may be to send a V-Bucks gift card.
Step 10: Keep an eye on item availability. Epic Games regularly cycles items in and out of the store. You can only gift or buy the items currently in the store.
It’s important to note that the Fortnite store may not reveal cool items until the day they become available. Unfortunately, you cannot schedule gift deliveries. If a desired item appears in the store and matches your friend’s preferences, it’s best to grab it quickly. Give the gift early and let them know it’s a one-time surprise.
Before you start sending gifts in Fortnite, make sure you meet all the requirements. Check off each condition to ensure a smooth gifting experience with your valuable V-Bucks. Always double-check the recipient to avoid accidental gifting, as there is no way to undo it once the gift is sent.
