The Last of Us Part II: A Guide to Locating Every Weapon

In the action-packed world of The Last of Us Part II, having a formidable arsenal is crucial for survival. While the game emphasizes stealthy navigation, there are moments when engaging in firearm combat becomes necessary. Whether you prefer a bow, rifle, or even a flamethrower, it’s important to be thorough in exploring your surroundings, as some of the game’s weapons are cleverly hidden and easily overlooked.

To aid you on your quest, we have crafted a comprehensive guide that highlights all 12 weapons in the game and provides their respective locations. It is highly recommended to locate and acquire all of these weapons since ammunition is limited in The Last of Us Part II, and having a diverse arsenal will ensure you are never left defenseless.

Please note that this guide contains spoilers. If you prefer to experience the game without any prior knowledge, it’s best to wait until after finishing the game before referring to this guide. Remember, the game offers a chapter select feature, so missing a weapon isn’t a game-breaking issue. You can simply load the correct chapter from the main menu to retrieve any missed weapons.

Ellie

Ellie, the game’s main protagonist, has access to six different weapons:

The Pump Shotgun is the first weapon that you might overlook. It can be found in the Downtown chapter inside the Westlake Bank vault on Seattle Day 1. The bank is located in the southern part of downtown. Once you enter, make your way to the vault door and use the code 60-23-06 to gain access. The shotgun will be lying on a corpse right in front of you after you enter.

Alternatively, if you miss the Pump Shotgun in the bank vault, players have reported finding it later in the game on a WLF corpse inside the TV station.

The Hunting Pistol is easily overlooked. It can be found in the On Foot chapter inside a safe. After passing a broken gate with your two comrades, leading to the left and downhill toward the train yard, look to your right before proceeding down the hill. You’ll spot a building with a crack in the wall. Enter the building to find the safe, and the combination is 17-38-07. This section comes after using the boat to climb up to the warehouse’s roof.

Double Barrel Shotgun

The Double Barrel Shotgun is another weapon that can be missed and appears in the Hostile Territory chapter.
