Where to Find All Great Fairies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Great Fairies have been a staple in the Zelda series since its inception, so it’s no surprise that they return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These benevolent spirits have always provided various forms of assistance to the hero of time, such as teaching new magic, upgrading equipment, and unlocking special abilities. With the vast world of Hyrule expanding, locating the Great Fairies has become more challenging than ever before.

If you’re struggling to find all the Great Fairies in Tears of the Kingdom and want to know what they offer, you’re in the right place.

What the Great Fairies Can Do

Similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, each Great Fairy in this game allows you to upgrade a specific piece of armor. However, every individual piece has its own cost in terms of raw materials and Rupees. If you wish to enhance your armor more than once, not only will the costs increase, but you’ll also need to visit a different Fairy. Therefore, to fully upgrade any armor set, you’ll need to track down all four Great Fairies. Fortunately, like the previous game, the order in which you visit them doesn’t matter.

Where to Find All the Great Fairies

Discovering a Great Fairy is just the first step to benefiting from their services. Before accessing them, you must complete some sidequests. It all starts with “Potential Princess Sightings!”

Great Fairy Tera

To find Great Fairy Tera, head to the Lucky Clover Gazette, located east of Lake Totori at coordinates -3251, 1772, 0118. Speak to Traysi under the stables after arriving. Once you’ve had a chat and received the quest, proceed to the Woodland Stables at coordinates 1046, 1145, 0022. Speak to Penn there to officially begin the “Serenade to a Great Fairy” quest.

The first task involves fixing the carriage, which is a simple matter of using your Ultrahand to attach some nearby wheels. Once that’s done, you’ll need to obtain a horse and harness to connect to the carriage, which requires two Pony Points from the stable. When the carriage is ready, ride along the path, taking the first two left turns directly to the Great Fairy’s flower-pod. Let the musicians play their music and summon her.

Great Fairy Kaysa

Kaysa can be found at the Outskirt Stable, located at coordinates 1404, -1266, 0032. This time, your objective is to locate the flutist named Pyper. She can be found southeast of Lake Hylia at coordinates 0519, -3423, 0047. Pyper requires 10 Sunset Fireflies from you. After handing them over, go to Haite at night and lead her back to the now-illuminated tree.

Once again, you’ll need to assist in bringing the entire band to the fairy. The road is obstructed, so you must build a large cart to carry the wagon and drive over the obstacle to reach the Great Fairy.

Great Fairy Cotera

For Cotera, head southwest of Necluda to the Dueling Peaks Stable. You’ll find it at coordinates 1757, -1957, 0010. From there, go south of Kakariko to reunite with your musician friends, who are now in search of their drummer, Beetz. This will trigger the “Serenade to Cotera” quest.

To save you some time, Beetz can be found at coordinates 2166, -1382, 0108 next to Lake Siela. Beetz is attempting to make honey crepes but lacks Courser Bee Honey. It’s up to you to either provide the honey or collect three honeycombs scattered around the map.

Once you’ve reunited Beetz with his band, your next task is to construct a boat to transport them across the river. Utilize the materials conveniently available to construct a raft large enough to carry the musicians and their wagon. Attach a fan to the raft and load everything aboard. Successfully navigate the river to reach the island to the north and witness another performance that summons Cotera from her flower.

Great Fairy Mija

Our final Great Fairy can be found at the Snowfield Stable, located at coordinates -1630, 2587, 0234. This time, the musicians are searching for their horn player, Eustus. As usual, you’ll find him deep in a hole at -3658, 0760, 0117.

Help Eustus out of the hole using your Ultrahand and carry him and his wagon back to meet the band at the stables. Once again, use a horse and harness to pull the carriage, but don’t forget to add a roof to protect them from the snow. Navigate to the final fountain to meet Mija.
