How to Begin the Halls of Herodiana Quest
Starting the quest can be a challenge, as it isn’t explicitly pointed out to you.
Step 1: Head to the Charms Classroom.
Step 2: Seek out and speak to Sophronia Franklin.
Step 3: Accept the quest and follow the marker to a secret door located on the bottom floor of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower.
Step 4: Use the Depulso spell to open the door and enter.
Solving the First Puzzle
All three puzzles in the Herodiana Halls quest involve maneuvering blocks to create a path forward. You’ll need to use the Depulso and Accio spells.
Step 1: Push the two blocks against the east wall using Depulso.
Step 2: Climb up the blocks and exit the room.
Solving the Second Puzzle
The second puzzle is slightly more challenging than the first, but still manageable.
Step 1: Use Depulso on the one movable block on the higher level to shift it westward.
Step 2: Position yourself on top of the immovable blocks and cast Accio on the movable block to pull it up and align it with the others.
Step 3: Jump onto the now complete row of blocks and exit the room.
Step 4: Before leaving, there is an optional extra chest in this room that you can also acquire.
Solving the Third Puzzle
The third and final puzzle is the most difficult, and it may leave you feeling stumped. Here’s how to conquer it.
Step 1: Use Accio to pull the single movable block towards the south wall.
Step 2: With Depulso, push the block towards the switch.
Step 3: Cast Accio to bring the block over to the north wall. Climb up and jump across to activate the switch. This will reset the block.
Step 4: Once again, cast Accio to pull the block towards the east and west walls, creating a complete bridge for you to traverse.
Step 5: Travel across and claim your final reward.
Obtaining the Optional Chest in the Third Puzzle
If you’re interested in obtaining additional loot for your efforts in solving the puzzles, here’s how to get the optional chest in the third chamber.
Step 1: Push the block to the back of the room from its starting position.
Step 2: Climb up the stationary blocks on the left side.
Step 3: Utilize Depulso to push the block towards the right wall.
Step 4: Use Accio to pull the block onto the stationary platform with the switch.
Step 5: Employ Accio once again to move the block to the left and position it against the stationary blocks.
Step 6: Go around to the back of the block and cast Depulso to push it all the way back against the wall.
Step 7: Climb up and open the chest.
Step 8: You will need to reset the room and start again from the beginning to solve the room as outlined above.
